China, Russia, and Guam (cont.)

So where does Guam come into the worldly scene? To the eyes of China, it
is a perfect target for them. It is the closest US territory that they can totally
destroy; one nuclear weapon from China is all it takes.

This is not to imply that the US should remove her military existence from the island.
There are those who do not want the US to be a controlling factor in Guam. That is
understandable but what could be more problematic would be leaders of China and/or North Korea that can weaken the livelihood of the island.

We do not want our island to be like other nations in this world that are controlled by leaders who do not care for their own people. Wise thinkers can see social and political weaknesses
that our island is experiencing. If we do not wake up to these facts and realities that can easily surpass our livelihood, we could become a darkened world.

So...what is the answer to these scary problems surrounding our island? Looking to become somewhat independent from the US will provoke other unfriendly nations to eventually control the island. Arguments have been that the US has been too controlling in Guam.

The fact is that if the US were to remove herself from Guam, we would inevitably open Asiatic “Pandora’s Box.” Which would you prefer? Would Japan, China, or North Korea be better nations living in our island and very possibly controlling our livelihood or America, who has been great to our people?
