Christianity...as Opposed
to Religion

you see everyday. Christianity, on the other hand, is a rare lifestyle in this
self-centered world in which we live and have our being.

Religion is a belief system practiced for hundreds of years that has a creator as its foci. Through the years, its central belief has radically changed and included man's inter-
pretation of who the creator is and what His function is in life. God lost His identity as the center of life and men began to worship the creation rather than the creator.

The Roman Church as well as Martin Luther's followers after the "Reformation" have strayed from the root teachings of the apostle Paul and adopted their own doctrines.

Today, more than any other day in history, the church has lost its direction, its reason for being, and its purpose. The trivialized church is a mere place to visit in order to fulfill their weekly obligations when its root meaning is "God's people…the out-called ones." It has become a place, a building, rather than that which is a possession of God. When He said, "I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it" He was alluding to His people and not a place or a building.
