Creation vs. Evolution

The struggle between Evolutionists and Creationists continue. Each is
dogmatic in their beliefs that they dismiss some of the fundamental truths
each contributes. There are truths in Evolution that Creationists need to
consider and accept.

The reciprocal is also true. For example…Evolutionists find it hard to accept that
the complex man of today is indeed less than 15,000 years old. They believe that man
evolved from the single-celled amoeba, which dates into the millions of years. Creationists
are accurate in their dating of man; the biblical account is accurate in dating Adam and his descendants.

Creationists, on the other hand, have to come to terms with the fact that this earth is not as young as they claim it to be; indeed, it is older than 15,000 years. Evolutionists are accurate to date this earth at millions of years. So…Where’s the Problem? There was life on this earth long before the reconstruction of the Adamic world. Archeology evidenced this truth.
Creationists cannot deny this fact regardless of their strong convictions on the biblical dating of mankind.

Herein is where the problem lies: There is a sect of thinkers who believe that there is a great gap of time between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2. This time gap is referred to as the “Gap Theory.” Verse 1 reads:

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth”.
