Last Days ...continued

Most Christian teachings on the “Last Days” issue place too much focus on
“wars and rumors of wars” or “nations rising against nations.” Most do not
focus on verse 4 of Matthew 24 as being the vital answer that Jesus gave to
his disciples.

One can only assume that the most obvious reason is that teachers and preachers
have not dug deep into the Greek meaning of the words Christ and prophets (verse 4). It is
not an easy explanation to hearers of the Word.

The point that needs to be made is that Jesus’ initial answer to the question asked is the fact that there will be many church leaders who will make claims of their authority and their anointed positions in the church world and many hearers of the Word will fall for the claims and be deceived.

Ask anyone who studies the Bible if they can interpret Matthew 24, verse 4. Most are not able to correctly interpret it, for deeper studies of certain words are just not being done. What’s important with verse 4 is: it is Jesus’ initial response to the disciples’ question regarding evidences of the Last Days.

It is important to also note that the Greek language back in the days of Jesus is the most precise language. The New International Version of the Bible states, “watch out that no one deceives you.”

The word deceives is a verb. The Greek word is PLANO. It is a seductive word. Translated…watch out that no one seduces you into thinking that because they are anointed, they are in authority. They will mislead you. Except for a few teachers of the Word, most are way out in left field.

The most important move that we (as the chosen few) should make is to talk to God and ask that He allow you to spiritually see and know when to turn away from deceptive teachings. It should include my writings online.
