Unlock Soul & Mind (con't.)

There are two levels of consciousness: The judicial level and the executive
level. One can only hope that decisions are based on, and are products of
the spiritual side of our nature. If God’s spirit and nature dominate our lives,
then the execution of our will should be good and pleasing to God.

Imagine a circle. Draw a line to split the circle. Consider the bottom half the circle as the
subconscious. Now draw a vertical line that splits the upper half of the circle and call the left
side the Judicial side and the right half, the Executive side.

A child knows and lives in the subconscious (bottom half of circle). His wants dominate his entire being. He has no concept of choice or the ability to “will.” As he matures, the other half of his circle begins to develop. The judicial side, as well as the executive side of his conscience begins to manifest themselves.

Now the struggle begins between what “ought to be,” and “what will be.” Our judicial side makes decisions based on the rudiments of the society in which we live as though it has all the possible answers to a good life. The executive side of our nature makes the ultimate
decision.

Outside influences, (parents, churches, jobs, friends, relatives, government, etc.) will tend to govern us into living a life that fit their mold. While our “executive” side, (the wiser and the moral intuitive part of us) suffer and succumb to the former.
